Born on the 9th of november 1974 in Conegliano Veneto (Treviso), Alex becomes quickly passionate in soccer. When he was a child, Michel Platini's pics covered the walls of his room. "His name was magic for me. When I played soccer, in the garden, I always identified on him. In growing, I became aware of the extend of his talent".

Alex moved from San Vendemiano (Venetia) to Padova in 1991. Came at the end of 1993 in Juventus from Padova thanks to Giampiero Boniperti's intuition, he showed immediately that he had technical qualities deserving resounding comparisons with great players from the past.

His right foot is a remarkable blend of velvet and dynamite. It's uneasy to categorize him, neither 10 nor 9. Alex is now the best "nine and a half" of Italy.
