Roberto is the sixth of eight children of Matilde and Fiorindo Baggio. His first steps have them movements trying to run behind one ball. In house there was a corridor 10 meters long, where Roby was often amused playing soccer with the brothers. His first official team has been the Caldogno. In 1979, Roby scored 42 goals and 20 assists. When he's 13 he enters in the Vicenza. In 1980, he played under the eyes of 3000 supporters and  came nicknamed Zico, his idol. Baggio became soon one of the young talents more withins of the market.

In Fiorentina, he knew his first accident. Fortunately its ans ours, after the operation of doctor Bosquet, recovered even if slowly, enduring, but other operation. With greatest will, Roby win the problems. He made debuts with national team on 16 November 1988, against Holland. Season 88/89 was its best one in violet. On 2 July 1989, he married to Andreina, that had known to the age of 15 years.

Then he went to the Juve, the enemy always of the Fiorentina. The supporters began manifestations in order to just hold their idol, that they changed in the true battles and own 17 may 1990, to the official announement of the passage of Baggio to the Juve. In the first year in white and black, the relationship with tifosi was not the best one, because to its presentation, Baggio, instead wearing the whiteblack scarf, had been limited to put in on one chair beside. The supporters qite angry, they start to distribute an insert, where they were declared feel disgust from the behaviour of the player. While in Juventus-Fiorentina, Baggio is absent for the birth of hte first child, his daughter Valentina to which in the June of 1994 will be given a brother, Mattia.

The National revives him, and changes the situation also into Juve. In the season 92/93, he scores his "only 4 goals in a same match" against the Udinese, before the short winter pause. 1993, for the Juve but above all for Roberto Baggio will be the happiest year. The "phenomenon" Baggio exploded between April and May, constructing therefore the winner of the Juve in IEFA Cup. The victory of his first trophy gaves to Baggio greater joy. Juve didn't want anymore to sell Baggio, the contract was renwed to him until the June of 1995, before joining Milan, then Bologna and now Inter.
