Edgar Davids was born in Paramaribo, Surinam and moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands) with his parents when he was a year and a half. As a child he played soccer in the streets of the city, where he put his foundation to his later soccer career. From his fifth year he played in the youth of Ajax, where he got trough all stages. He made his début in the first squad when he was eighteen years old. Edgar Davids is a midfielder, who prefers to play in the center but also do at well at the left. He combines great atletic qualities with a good personal technique. His strong playstyle, he often plays at the borders of permissibility, give him the surplus value. Edgar Davids was from 1991 to 1996 a part of the Ajax team that cause a furore in Europe and that almost won everything what can be won. At Ajax he got his nickname pitbull, when Louis van Gaal once called him "my little pitbull".

Since Zidane's moving, he's becomen now one of the pillars of the Juventus. Juventini are now keen on this wonderful player.
