These are the facts. But
its also part of the facts that Stefano Fiore is a great talent. He started his
carrier at a sport association which was established by his father in 1982. His Dad played
soccer in the team of Cosenza, as well as Stefano. He debuted in Serie B in 1984 against
Brescia and in the 85th minute he scored a goal. (Cosenza Brescia 2-1)
In 1994/95 he spent a fabulous season in Parma and the team played the UEFA Cup Final against Juventus in May of 1995. (1-1).
Stefano spent 90 minutes in the field: "it was a fantastic feeling, incredible."
Then after a little "excursion" to Serie B he returned to Parma and won another UEFA Cup and an Italian Cup with the "yellows".
But the biggest success arrived a little bit later, when he played his first match in the national team. (23rd February 2000, Italy Switzerland 1-0.)
"As for my career it was the most important moment of my
life, a unique feeling, which I could share with my dear parents who were more excited
than me, but on the grandstand."
From this sentence its obvious that the family is a very important thing for Stefano, as well as his friends.
Even if he was member of the Zoff-team during the Euro-2000, he scored some superb goals and he played on the post of Del Piero, he remained a simple and nice guy.
"The soccer, surely, an important aspect of my life, but not my only one interest. Im keen on other things too: friendships, love, my hobbies (music, culture and sport). The life just like the soccer is made from sweat and sacrifice; enthusiasm and continuous occupation. These are all needed to achieve the important aims, but also to the simple, everyday satisfactions."
