History of the team

The Fiorentina was born on the 26th August 1926, from an union between Libertas and Firenza's Sportive Club. Carlo Capsky was coach and the first official colors were red and white, from the two ex teams. The first official match of Fiorentina in championship was on the 3rd october 1926. During this first match, Luigi Ridolfi was president and succeed to put his team in Serie A at the end of the season 1930/31. On the 20th september 1931, the Fiorentina played his first match in serie A making a draw 1-1 in Milano. At the end of the first season, the team was fourth, with 25 goals scored by their best player, the Uruguayan forward Pedro Petrone. In 1938, the Fiorentina is back in Serie B. It's only in coming back in Serie A that she began to earn titles.
