Inter

History of the Team

At the beginning of the century, Inter FC didn't exist. There was only the "Milan Cricket and Football Club". On the 9th of march 1908, the "Internazionale Football Club of Milan" was born. It was called "Internazionale" because it was open to all players and not only to the Italian ones. The colors of the club were gold, black and blue. With fascism, it's forced to incorporate with the Milanese Unione Sportiva and change name and tricot. So, the Ambrosiana takes shape. In 1932, the club gets the permission to combine the two names. It becomes Ambrosiana-Inter.

Inter won, during the thirties, its third championship. There are the days of Giuseppe Meazza. In 1940, the fale of Meazza is unfortunately obscured by an accident and the team is forced to play without him for the entire season. Then Mussolini announced the entry of Italy into the war. Once more the football grounds remain empty.

Since 1942, Carlo Masseroni runs the club, which takes the previous denomination "Internazionale", and the everybody, from October 1945, calls simply Inter.
