Indeed, it’s hard to talk about Simone without mentioning his brother, Filippo. The Inzaghi brothers are determining characters of the present Italian soccer. It’s impossible not to draw a comparison between them. They are similar to each other in lots of things: not only in their appearances, but also in their personal qualities. It becomes visible especially in their playing style.

Simone was early notable for his talent, although in the beginning – from the journalists‘ point of view – he played in the shade of Filippo. But he showed soon that he has his own character.

His career is fast and undiminished. In the 1994/95 season he played in the C1 League, in the team of Carpi, as a middle-field player.

From the 1997/98 season he was showing off his ability in the Piacenza team. He debuted in the Serie A against his present team. (13^th September 1998, Piacenza – Lazio 1-1)

Then there had already been such news that the Lazio took a fancy to Inzaghino. It was only a rumour that time. Simone remained at the Piacenza, and the team itself continued the previously started good series.

On 9^th June 1999. Simone tryears oldferred to the Lazio for 8,7 million pounds. "I chose the Lazio, because it’s the best team." However he had other offers too. (Juventus, Borussia Dortmund).

One of Simone’s biggest dreams was realised when the Lazio started its march in the Champions League. Now the Lazio is the only one Italian team in the European Cups.

His another big dream came true when on 25^th March 2000. Simone got his first invitation to the national team from Dino Zoff: since their childhood the Inzaghi brothers play in one team again.

Unfortunately the match wasn’t so glorious. (29^th March 2000. Spain-Italy 2-0)

Simone can say that he’s lucky to achieve so many things by age 24. To this of course also contributes the magnificent family background. The parents are always supporting their sons. The Inzaghi brothers are very kind, they love the fyears old and give interviews with pleasure. But the most important is that they respect and love each other.

According to Simone Filippo is the best soccer player. "I’m his biggest fan."
